Be encouraging. Make your baby feel good about progress by constantly rewarding successes. Eliminate bladder irritants. At night time, begin by eliminating caffeine (comparable to chocolate milk and cocoa) and if this doesn’t work, minimize citrus juices, artificial flavorings, dyes (especially red) and sweeteners. Many mother and father don’t realize these can all irritate a child’s bladder.
There are two kinds of alarms: audio and tactile (buzzing) alarms. The precept is that the wetness of the urine bridges a gap in the sensor, which in turn sets off the alarm. The sensor is placed both on the kid’s underwear or bed pad. The youngster then awakens, shuts off the alarm, finishes urinating within the bathroom, returns to the bedroom, modifications clothes and the bedding, wipes down the sensor, resets the alarm, link between bedwetting and constipation returns to sleep.
